Kelsey Grammer: An Intro

Hello there. My name is Sean Rose and I am preparing a comic for UConn's Daily Campus comics page.

Am I a decent artist? Not really. However I am drawing this comic all myself. Thankfully, every single one of my characters is a circle-face with no arms or legs, so I don't need to stretch myself too thin in terms of artistry. There are also no backgrounds or exquisitely drawn locales to speak of. So more than anything else I get to focus on the character's expressions, which is pretty fun.

I started the comic as little doodles to help get me through my Shakespeare class. I liked them so much that I ended up drawing about 20 of them. Stephen Winchell, illustrator of the classic "Phil" comic and current DC comics editor, liked them too and suggested I try to get them in the paper. And here I am.

I am also in UConn's sketch comedy group Wilhelm, in which I wrote an blog update every month insulting almost every comic in the paper. So now I figure it's put up or shut up. I'm looking forward to next semester's comics page, though, especially since I'll be in the company of Jake Lucas, Steve Kress, and Anthony Wasley, as well as my personal favorite comics Lucid TV, Phil, and Poor Richard.

But hey - enough of my yakin'! Here's the first couple weeks:

P.S.: This comic is called Kelsey Grammer because Kelsey Grammer is a fine actor.
